Description

Today’s physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers witness events that are exhilarating…and events that are devastating. Situations full of joy; situations full of sorrow.

How does our Christian faith inform our work and support us when that work does not always lead to successful outcomes? How can we be healed when the work of healing leaves us wounded?

“Jesus said, ‘Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat” (Mark 6:31). Join us for a one-day retreat for healthcare personnel. “Come away” for needed rest and restoration in the midst of a hectic profession.

This day will offer presentations from physician-theologian Dr. Pat Fosarelli along with time for solitude, prayer, and conversations with individuals all experiencing the highs and lows of the sacred work of caring for others.
